PERMINANT DOWN HILL COURSE
Served by the Super-Châtel gondola lift, the permanent downhill trail has been designed to provide the maximum number of thrills and chills.

The trail is 2.7 km (1.7 miles) long and passes through both woodland and meadows, and its 420 m of vertical drop are equipped with bumps, banked turns and natural obstacles.
Fans of the discipline have two courses available, choosing the one suitable for their level.

BIKE PARK
The Mountain Bike Park in Pré-la-Joux is a special area dedicated to mountain bikers.
It offers13 mountain biking trails (12 of which are downhill runs) at all difficulty levels.

Mountain biking in this area is unsurpassable! We can confidently say that you will be overwhelmed at the stunning mountain landscape and scenery. Charging down the same runs, using the same lift system (there is no need to ride up hill if you don't want to, just stick your bike on the back of the chair-lift). Just look at these pictures taken last year!

The extensive single track and fire-roads intermingle with the existing ski pistes offer an unbelievable experience. Just in the Châtel area alone, it has a wide range of assents and descents, its gentle rolling meadows, amazingly steep single tracks through the forests, a down-hill course of 450m which takes you into the middle of the town, trial circuits, Dual-cross there is something for everyone.

If this alone is not enough, why not make the most of the use of the Portes du soleil lift system, with your bike strapped on the chairlift as well you can reach the whole of this magnificent area, totalling 650km’s For example, with just 2 chair lift rides with your bike, you can be in Morzine and try out their down-hill course or wander through the town for a bit of shopping or a cool drink in one of the bars.

ROAD BIKING
If you are a road bike fanatic, we are based in the center of a fabulous area, where you can enjoy the long sweeping curves and exciting hair pin bends of the roads as they follow the contours of the valleys and mountains. Le Tour de France has been through Chatel and the surrounding area several times and last year the Great British road bike team was based at Le Renard for the Tour d`Aosta which is held every year in August.
