Chatel is situated in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area on the borders of France & Switzerland. Within the largest ski area in Europe, with 650 Km of pistes to choose from on one hands free smart card lift pass, you will never be bored. From Greens to Blacks, mogul fields to long winding runs passing fir trees and taking in the amazing scenery of the stunning alpine area, the choice is unlimited.

In the summer too, access to the mountains is assured for walkers and cyclists using the network of lifts.

Arriving by Air:

Geneva airport is served from all over Europe and is a major centre for Easyjet. Car hire is available on the French and Swiss exits from the airport and Chatel is a 90 minute drive from there. Alternately 2 trains every hour go from the airport to Aigle in Switzerland which is a 1/2 hour taxi ride from Chatel. For groups  a minibus taxi can be arranged to meet guests at the airport.

Arriving by Train:

TGV services run to Geneva for connection to Aigle or to Thonon-les-Bains in France, which is also a 1/2 hour taxi journey from Chatel.
